How to Use the Campus Card
- While dining or shopping in the caf or the campus supermarkets, please get the campus card close to the card reader reading area. It will take about 0.5 seconds with a beep to indicate that the right consumption amount has been deducted from the card. At that time, you can take your card back. If the card reader emits a consecutive alarm sound, such as 鈥渢ick, tick...鈥, it indicates that your card is acting abnormally. One of the following cases might be possible: insufficient amount of money for the purchase on the card, a damaged card, an expired card, the card has been reported lost or stolen, or it is frozen, among other possibilities. If there is a sign of 鈥------鈥 appearing on the screen while using, it indicates that your accumulated consumption amount has exceeded the preset limit. In this case, you can input the correct consumption password and continue to use.
Note: The card reader screen in canteens and the campus supermarkets is incapable of showing digits above one thousand. - When using the card in the teaching buildings, water rooms, water heaters at dormitories, and public bathrooms, you should swipe the campus card twice. The first swipe will enable the reader to release water and start charging from the card while the second swipe will stop the water running and the fee deducting process. In order to avoid the reading and writing errors, you should hold the card in the reading area longer than one second.
Note: The screen on the water controller is incapable of showing digitals above one hundred.
